- George David’s supermaxi Rambler 100 capsizes off Fastneck Rock in Ireland. All crew are safe, and they are rescued by the Baltimore, Ireland lifeboat station.
- Newport is announced as the final stop in the America’s Cup World Series circuit.
- I experienced a sailing of the Schooner Woodwind, and it was a blast.

- Emirates announces launch of Seattle – Dubai and Dallas – Dubai services
- Boeing delivers 787 to All Nippon Airways of Japan.
- Racing Winds reported our second highest traffic month on record.
- At our first sailing regatta of the year, we celebrate the life of Olivia Constants.
