The Royal Mirage Hotel was located in a corner of Fes, on the Ave Des F.A.R. It was a nice location, adjacent to the street which leads directly down to the palace. It was quiet (sort of) and had a great pool and great staff.
The hotel room was basic, with two double beds and a nice balcony overlooking the pool. It offered free Wi-Fi, which was a bonus, except the Wi-Fi would be slow most of the time and occasionally fast. However, it was a good excuse to stay relatively disconnected.
The hotel offered a nice breakfast buffet free of charge. It featured several hot local dishes, as well as an assortment of breads, croissants, fruit, cold meats, and cheeses. There was also an omelette station where a chef would make an omelette to order.
There was a restaurant, however it was only moderate quality food. It was more convenient than anything else, but the staff was very friendly and the prices were competitive.
