[PHOTOS] Japan Airlines Takes Delivery of Two Boeing 787s

Today Boeing delivered not one, but two 787-8s to their second customer, Tokyo-based Japan Airlines. The handover took place in at Boeing’s Paine Field in Seattle, and the two Dreamliners are currently on their way back to Tokyo as JAL8101 and JAL8102. While fellow Tokyo-based airline, and Boeing 787 launch customer, All Nippon Airways is already using their 787s, JAL will be the first airline to use the aircraft on brand new routes; Tokyo-Boston starting in April, and Tokyo-San Diego coming later in the year.
