British Airways, the airline partner of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games in London, unveiled the first in a series of jets to be painted like a dove, with a very golden livery.
The first A319, registered G-EUOH, was deployed on BA1420 from London’s Heathrow Airport to Copenhagen, Denmark today. The aircraft is the first in a series of nine airplanes to be painted with Pascal Anson’s design. Mentored by Tracey Emin, a Turner prize-winning artist, Anson’s design will go live alongside a menu created by Michelin-starred chef Simon Hulstone, and a short film created by Prasanna Puwanarajah, entitled ‘BOY.’ All pay homage to the Olympic Games which will be celebrated in London later this year.
