L’Hydroptère Spreads Its Wings in San Francisco

L’Hydroptère DCNS, Alain Thebault’s multihull hydrofoil, is currently in San Francisco, awaiting the ideal time to attack the Transpac record from Los Angeles to Honolulu. The training sessions in San Francisco have allowed the team to invite media, fellow sailors, and other distinguished guests onboard for a sail. Those guests have included Paul Cayard of America’s Cup fame, as well as Luna Rossa helmsman Paul Campbell James.

As always, photographer Christophe Launay wows with these stunning photos. This isn’t the first time Christophe’s work has been featured on the Racing Winds Blog. The full gallery is available on Christophe’s website.
