Clipper Fleet Makes its Way to the United States

The Clipper Round the World Race has been going on since last year, and unfortunately, we’ve neglected to cover it much. The fleet are currently sailing a 5600 nm leg from Qingdao, China to Oakland, California. Currently in the 20th day of racing, the ten boat fleet is compacted between 39°-41° north latitude and 152°-159° west longitude. Arrival is expected into Oakland in the next two weeks.

After Oakland, the boats will head south to Panama before returning to the United States, this time New York City, in June.

You can follow the progress of the Clipper fleet through our affiliate Racing Winds Sailing. Daily updates are posted as soon as they are published on the RWS feed. Click here to view recent relevant posts.
